This project is the first national pilot section for constructing a connected vehicle (V2X) experimental segment by a central state-owned enterprise. Due to the installation of numerous roadside terminals such as radar, cameras, and RSUs (Roadside Units), traditional cloud-based Internet of Things (IoT) solutions no longer meet the project’s requirements in terms of response speed and scalability. Therefore, a combined solution involving cloud computing and edge computing is needed.
Through technologies such as KubeEdge and microservices, achieve cloud-based collaborative management of roadside edge devices, including radar, cameras, and RSUs. This involves overseeing and upgrading applications, files, and programs on edge devices, as well as receiving data reported by these devices, storing it, and providing external access interfaces.
